Courtney Porter is a 22 year old native of Clay, Alabama, and a 2005 honor graduate of Clay-Chalkville High School. She is currently a senior at Auburn University, where she is majoring in Communication. Courtney is a member of Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society, and Lambda Sigma Society, which is a leadership honorary for the top 50 rising sophomores at Auburn. She has been a member of the Auburn University Tiger Paws dance team for all four years, and has recently been named by Auburn University for inclusion in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. Courtney will be graduating in December 2009.

Courtney will be making her fifth trip to the Miss Alabama Pageant this June. She has competed as Miss Clay-Chalkville 2005, where she won a non-finalist talent award, Miss Talladega County 2007, Miss Smiths Station 2008, and Miss Chatt 2009 where she placed 3rd runner up. Courtney was also awarded the Miss Congeniality award which was picked by the contestants participating at Miss Alabama. Courtney's personal platform is the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. She can be found at the Chambers County Boys and Girls Club each week mentoring the children and promoting her project, "Homework Helpers".
